The Florida Board of Medicine recognized Lewis Auerbach, M.D., for outstanding leadership to the medical community. Chairman of the Board, Fred Bearison, M.D., presented Dr. Auerbach with the distinguished Chairman's Recognition Award at the February 7th Board of Medicine meeting, held in Tampa.
A board certified oncologist, Dr. Auerbach has used his clinical skills to provide over 20 years of compassionate, selfless care to thousands of cancer patients in eastern Hillsborough County regardless of their ability to pay. A skilled physician and well respected leader in the medical community, he has served on many hospital committees and received the 'Physician of the Year' award from Brandon Hospital.
