The Florida Health Insurance Advisory Board (Board) has scheduled a public meeting to discuss critical issues for the Florida health care insurance market. Senate Office Building Room 401404 South Monroe StreetTallahassee, Florida The Florida Legislature established the Board to advise the Office of Insurance Regulation (Office), Agency of Health Care Administration (AHCA), other executive departments as well as the Governor and Florida Legislature on issues and trends affecting Floridians in the health care insurance marketplace. Chaired by Insurance Commissioner Kevin McCarty, the Board is comprised of representatives from the health insurance industry, insurance agents, employers, and a consumer as well as a representative from AHCA. Additional public meetings are tentatively scheduled to be held in south Florida in August, and in Tallahassee in September.
